Our in-house research hub—where pediatric science meets real-life parenting. We don’t separate the data from the doing. Our team of pediatricians and nutrition experts are parents first.

It’s not a secret.
The magic is in the mix.

THE PROTEINS

Easy to digest

Breast milk is naturally whey-dominant: approximately 60% of the protein comes from whey once breastfeeding is well-established. We mirror this ratio because the research on whey-to-casein balance and gastric emptying time in infants is clear: a whey-forward formula is easier to digest and can reduce the likelihood of discomfort. Partial hydrolysis further breaks protein chains for babies who struggle to break down intact proteins, without sacrificing nutritional completeness.

THE CARBOHYDRATES

Natural prebiotic properties

Sustained energy

Lactose is the primary carbohydrate in human breast milk, and it does more than provide energy. Research suggests that lactose supports the gut microbiome and may support calcium absorption in infants.*

*When any undigested lactose reaches the terminal ileum and the colon, it is broken down by intestinal bacteria into metabolites like lactate, short-chain fatty acids, and gases. Some studies demonstrate lactose's bifidogenic impact in adult humans who are lactose intolerant, which means that lactose could be considered a prebiotic in individuals with lactose malabsorption. An in vitro study modeling the physiology of infants and young children demonstrated that lactose impacts bacterial populations, notably by increasing the population of Bifidobacteria. Authors of one review article write, "lactose is a key nutrient in the colonization of the digestive tract by the infant's intestinal microbiota by promoting the establishment of beneficial bacteria.”

Healthy growth

No palm oil

Our proprietary organic fat blend is rich in fatty acids to support brain development and cellular growth.

why we say No to Palm Oil

Palm oil is common in formula because it matches human milk's palmitic acid profile—but position matters. We get there a different way, by using naturally-occurring fat from whole milk with palmitic acid in the more easily absorbed second position in the triglyceride.

THE KEY NUTRIENTS

DHA, choline + iron

DHA,
choline + iron

Calibrated at precise levels

Brain development

Immune support

DHA supports the structural development of the brain and retina: its role in early brain development is one of the most robust findings in infant nutrition science.  Choline builds brain cell membranes and is important for lipid metabolism. Iron helps support oxygen transport in the blood and boosts the immune system. We calibrate iron precisely not to regulatory minimums, but to the research on optimal absorption and overall health.
